SPANISH AIR FORCE DURING WORLD WAR II, GERMANY´S HIDDEN ALLY? ISBN 9788366148178

Continuing with the study of the lesser known Air Forces that fought in the skies of Europe during World War II, in this book we want to remember the Spanish Air Force and how it defended the Spanish skies from several Air Forces that took part in the war. Besides we can read about the Blue Squadrons that fought against the Soviet Air Force in the Eastern Front in spite of the Spanish neutrality.

We have written a text that will show us the bravery and courage of these men, in a difficult balance between the Allies and the Axis that allowed to General Franco continue in his position as chief of the Spanish state after the World War 2. We want to compile in a didactic way but without academic intention, the information about this topic from various main sources such as Juan Arráez Cerdá, José Luis González Serrano, Carlos Caballero, Francisco Martínez Canales or Jorge Fernández-Coppel, trying to focus on the Spanish Air Force actions during the world conflict defending the Spanish neutrality and in the Blue Squadrons actions against the USSR.

Finally as is required we use this work to pay tribute to all the members of the Spanish Air Force that fought for their country during the difficult years of World War II.

CRIKETS AGAINST RATS REGIA AERONAUTICA IN THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR 1937-1939 VOL II ISBN 9788364596162

On 1 July two BR.20s performed a raid from Soria airfield. They dropped then twenty 50-kg bombs on the locality of Cifuentes. During the battle of Brunete bombers of that type frequently attacked Republican ground troops. They ventured over enemy’s rear without fighter escort and easily escaped fighters trying to intercept them. The new bomber passed well its first combat test. On 3 July the bombers from Majorca bombed Valencia. It was a retaliatory raid ordered by Franco, concerning the previous Republican raids on cities in the Nationalist zone.

The F-14 Tomcat is more than just a naval plane. It goes beyond the merely formal, it has marked an era in the same way that previously did aircraft like the F-4 Phantom II, the different models of the mythical Mirage, the F-86 Sabre, the P-51 Mustang, the Spitfire, etc. The uniqueness of its mission and having a single user (in addition to Iran) were not an obstacle for this exceptional fighter to gain respect and a reputation that few fighter planes have had throughout the twentieth century.

ISBN 9788366148338 Hispano Aviación HA - 1112 Eduardo Manuel Gil Martinez.

The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was without doubts one of the most important airplanes in the history of aviation and since the beginning its history was linked to Spain. Only a few months since the maiden flight, three prototypes were sent to Spain to be tested during the Spanish Civil War and shortly after Spain bought E and F series. When Spain acquired the manufacturing under license of the Bf 109 G-2 began the history of the Messerschmitt Bf 109s made in Spain, which gave rise to two aircraft such as the HA-1109 and the HA-1112, with several subtypes. These aircraft manufactured in Spain enlarged the Bf 109 life about 20 years since the end of World War 2 because continued in active service until 1965 coexisting with the 2nd and the 3rd generation jet. Fortunately even today some of the HA-1112s fly majestic as worthy descendants of the great aircraft that was and always will be the Messerschmitt Bf 109. In this text we will remember the amazing history of these made in Spain aircraft.

AERONAUTICA NAZIONALE REPUBLICANA 1943-1945 ISBN 9788365437709

Continuing with the study of the lesser known Air Forces that fought in the skies of Europe during World War II, in this book we want to remember the Italian Air Force that after the Armistice in 1943 remained under the command of Benito Mussolini and allied to Germany better than join to the Western Allies: the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana (ANR). At the same time two differents Italian Air Forces fought in the Mediterranean Theatre of Operations, although they didn´t fought each other. Fortunately several works above all from Italian authors rescued the ANR from the oblivion, although there are few works from no Italian authors too. The works written for D´Amico, Valentini, Di Terlizzi, Garello, Arena, Neulen, Beale, Gentili, etc ... had lightened us with a good knowlegde about the matter. In this work we have try to create a text that allow to all readers to understand and know the most important facts in the history of all branches of the ANR (without forget that the ANR was not only formed by planes but ground forces as parachutist too) since it was created to the end of World War II. For this, it has been necessary look for information in different sources, from the mains to the minors, to try to complete the research and offer it in the most definite way but don´t trying to be exhaustive but as educational as possible. Finally as is required we use this work to pay tribute to all the members of the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana that fought in World War, defending the skies and grounds of their country.
