How To Fly is a project that brings together the world of instrumental aviation in a practical way.
This manual has been prepared with two objectives; on the one hand with the aim of explaining instrumental aviation to the student pilot who wants to get started in it, and on the other hand, with the aim of assisting the experienced pilot who is looking for detailed answers, which are scattered in numerous volumes of regulations written by official sources.
A complete guide for IFR flights. Includes information from Doc 8168, Doc4444, AIR OPS, AIP Spain and the ICAO Annexes. First edition 2019
This guide is divided into 11 chapters. It begins by defining the objectives of instrument aviation and the equipment used, then explains flight planning, and finally describes all phases of flight, from start-up to final taxiing, each with its peculiarities and relevant regulations.
The strength of this document lies in the fact that the author began writing it when he was still a student pilot. During the course of his instruction, after many mistakes made and hundreds of questions asked, he managed to acquire extensive knowledge of the subject.
The resolutions of those errors have been reflected in this project in order to solve all the doubts of any pilot student. This has been achieved thanks to the first-hand experience of the author, who began the development of the guide in his early days during his instruction as a pilot, until he took the road in commercial aviation.
