"JOSÉ MARÍA CARRERAS DEXEUS, an exceptional Catalan aviator. The only Spanish pilot who flew most types of allied aircraft during World War II, and was later Airline Pilot".
At the beginning of May 2019, the Biography of Pilot José María Carreras Dexeus, a very outstanding aviator, came to light again. He began his enormous aeronautical work in Catalonia, then briefly moved to Canada and the United States and settled in England. As General Salas Larrazábal rightly says in the Prologue: "It is strange that until now there has not been a book dedicated to the famous aviator José María Carreras (JEP), with a very important trajectory in the initiation of aviation in Barcelona, decisive for the knowledge of the performance of the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA), during World War II in the United Kingdom. Its participation in the Berlin airlift and in the first commercial jet flights should also be highlighted.

SPANISH AIR FORCE DURING WORLD WAR II, GERMANY´S HIDDEN ALLY? ISBN 9788366148178
Continuing with the study of the lesser known Air Forces that fought in the skies of Europe during World War II, in this book we want to remember the Spanish Air Force and how it defended the Spanish skies from several Air Forces that took part in the war. Besides we can read about the Blue Squadrons that fought against the Soviet Air Force in the Eastern Front in spite of the Spanish neutrality.
We have written a text that will show us the bravery and courage of these men, in a difficult balance between the Allies and the Axis that allowed to General Franco continue in his position as chief of the Spanish state after the World War 2. We want to compile in a didactic way but without academic intention, the information about this topic from various main sources such as Juan Arráez Cerdá, José Luis González Serrano, Carlos Caballero, Francisco Martínez Canales or Jorge Fernández-Coppel, trying to focus on the Spanish Air Force actions during the world conflict defending the Spanish neutrality and in the Blue Squadrons actions against the USSR.
Finally as is required we use this work to pay tribute to all the members of the Spanish Air Force that fought for their country during the difficult years of World War II.

This fantastic book, by Aviation Colonel D. Emilio Herrera Alonso, gathers the biographies of one hundred Spanish aviators, which show the military vicissitudes of 20th century Spain.
In this work, of enormous historical value, it is possible to see how the long and bloody War of Morocco developed and how, after it, the Spanish aviators launched themselves to fly gloriously over four continents and two hemispheres. The heroic feats of the aviators of both sides in the Spanish Civil War and the magnificent performances of the squadrons that fought during World War II are collected in this magnificent book for lovers of aviation and history.
This book, written by D. Juan Sayós Estivill, is a set of memories of our war, written by a pilot of the fighter aviation of the Republic.
It does not claim to make history or to draw consequences, but only to reflect as faithfully as possible impressions lived impetuously and that, precisely for this reason, can’t have the cold objectivity of a chronicle.
The descriptions in this brief book of memoirs-one more, devoted to the Spanish Civil War-are lively, realistic, and passionate.
